We had our new Relief Society president, Shayla Pierce, give the lesson Sunday!
She talked about our goals for RS this year:
1. Build firm testimonies through practicing the bishops challenge (which is...)
1 hour of scripture study per day, fasting once per week, and attending the temple twice per month.
2. Increase temple attendance by and she gave us a few tips on making our temple experience more meaningful:
Remove your watch while in the temple so we aren't focused on the time.
When planning a temple trip give yourself plenty of time to spend.
And be mindful of the ordinances we are performing for ourselves and the names for which we are performing them.
3. 100% visiting teaching
We will need everyone's help on this one. Please make the decision to be more attentive to your sisters this year. We want every sister to feel of their Savior's love through their visiting teachers.
