Sunday Scribbles

We were treated to a spiritual feast yesterday.  Several sisters in the ward bore strong testimonies about the power of prayer, and staying committed to spiritual activity during times of trial.

All of us go through difficult times in our lives.  Knowing that we are not alone, that our Savior and Heavenly Father love us and are watching over us, that our Bishop loves us, and that we have a sisterhood in the gospel who support us is such a blessing.

After the meeting, a few of us were discussing how hard it is to go through these trials, and one sister said that 'it's what we are here for.'  She also said how thankful she was that she was going through these (very heavy) trials now, and not at an earlier time in her life when she was not as strong.  That is profound, isn't it?? I don't think I will ever forget that conversation.

We are so blessed in our ward with wonderful, spiritual, funny, talented sisters!  I talk about you all the time, quote you, and try to emulate you.

Some things to remember:

Please try to get out and visit the sisters on your visiting teaching routes early this month. The holidays can be stressful and particularly difficult for some people. You can report your visiting teaching using the report button on the Blog. (I will forward all reports received that way to your district leader.) Let your district leader or a member of the presidency know if you need some help this month.

Do you still need to learn how to index? Need to get some help getting set up in your computer? Give Paula Tucker a call and she'll make arrangements.

Have a fantastic holiday season, and a wonderful Christmas!
