Happy Moments:
Bonnie Pace – Our family will have 2 grandsons in a few months.
Mona Brodie – Got a job!
Betty Gabel - Nickki is getting married in March or April.
Christie Howell – My whole family is coming for Thanksgiving to my house.
Abby Davis – My sister will be spending the holidays in Colombia supporting her boyfriend who is playing baseball (this is one step away from the BIGS)!
Combined RS/Priesthood Lesson: Bishop Howell
Bishop Howell shared his experiences in learning to ask for righteous things, and then being willing do so what it takes to receive those blessings.
He challenged each of us to pray for guidance, and write down 3 righteous desires of our hearts, and then do the following:
1. Read the scriptures at least 6 days per week for 1 consecutive hour;
2. Attend the temple at least twice per month;
3. Fast one day per week.
Bishop promised us that we would see the windows of heaven open to us, and we would receive the things that we need. It may not happen on our own personal timeline, or in the way that we thought those blessings would arrive, but that our Father in Heaven is waiting to bless us when we are willing to pay the price and humble ourselves.
